John: If you subtract liabilities from assets, you get zero. If you recall, assets = liabilities. 1-1 = 0, not $350 million.

>I am merely observing that the *theory* of untold riches just over the horizon has been with us for at least three years now without any measurable *results*. Except that the horizon remains in front of us like a carrot on a stick.>

Three years is long term horizon? Core technology takes a decade to develop into a commercial success. 10 years of sunk costs.

We all waited for three years, between 1996 and 1999, when the stock barely budged. Then suddenly the profits jumped 4-5 times. You sow and then you reap. OK. The stock went up 40 times, which was a big bubble. The stock is more reasonable now. And if you are saying it should be 24 instead of 32, 20 percent up or down is just noise in tech stocks.

I would estimate the blue-sky hopes and dreams goodwill much higher than 0.5 billion. All the accumulated hulabaloo and hot air throughout the years about CDMA taking over China is worth at least 3 - 4 billion.

PS. To be fair how about the dividends
