I have noticed the gap for quite a while.. Some times it narrows a bit but lots of time it is like this..

Because it's not the same equity.

1. JDU may be exchanged for JDSU. But JDSU may not be exchanged for JDU.

2. JDU is eligible to be held as Canadian content in an RRSP. JDSU counts as foreign content.

We have this same discussion approximately once every 6 months. This time, I'll provide one post only. Anybody who chooses to argue that it's the same stock can win this totally useless argument by default.
