"I am not poor, but I am also not wealthy. People who are actually poor in this country get back any income tax they pay in. The primary reason for upper-income tax cuts is not to make the recipient's life better. Most likely it will make no difference in their lifestyle"

You say the upper income tax cut will most likely be invested and create jobs for lower income people... Don't you think that most wealthy people will simply invest more in stocks and bonds to increase the value of their estates. How does this create more jobs? Investing in a secondary market such as the stock market does nothing for the company whose stock or bond is being purchased. If one were to invest in an IPO that would be a different story and you know that purchases of IPO's seems to be limited to the insiders whose wealth usually increases many times whether they be democrat or republican. Giving a cut to the middle class, on the other hand, would supply money to people we know would spend it and really stimulate the economy. The Clinton economy had the lowest unemployment rate in 30+ years yet the repubs accuse him of passing the largest tax increase in history. So if you want to create jobs why not follow the model that has shown effectiveness.
