As a matter of logic, of course everyone knows that sources of information are imperfect, and can be contradicted. However, when one asserts alleged facts with no qualification, it signals acceptance of the information. No doubt is expressed, and it would not be assumed, just because, as a logical matter, we can all admit that no source is perfect. Asserting the "facts", as you did, expresses a high degree of confidence in their truth. Any normal reader would take it as I did......
