Prices on Athlon XP's and MP's seem to be rising slightly in So. Cal. Fry's had the XP1800+ with Shuttle AK31A for $189 this weekend. That's a great deal, because the lowest local price on the CPU itself is $149, but Fry's had the same combo for $179 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Another local outfit, mypcparts.com, had an Athlon MP 1800 for $199 last week. This week it's $209. (Their website has slightly higher prices.)

There are other examples I noticed flipping through ComputorEdge.
