The American escaped (Macguiver fan, no doubt) and the Norwegian was found beheaded. The others were never found. They were demanding the release of several militants, one of which was member Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, himself arrested in 94 I believe for kidnapping three Brits and captured during a gunbattle with Indian police. Sheikh would be released in Kandahar later as the result of a hijacking of an Indian Air flight in December 99... remember that, Gus? Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh is now in the custody of Pakistani authorities for his role in the kidnapping and murder of one American journalist named... Pearl. Harkat-ul-Ansar has since merged with another group going by the nomer of Harkat-ul-Muhajideen.... Derek
