Interesting, but then, yesterday's low will be the first in a long time when we did not hit a extreme in the naz' tic and trin at the bottom.

syl, I've never heard of the method you mention being used in chart analysis. However, I'm not an authority on this, as I've never read a T/A book. I just don't see how you can copy and paste trendlines and have them mean anything.
You can overlay charts for comparative analysis, but that is all that is.
