It was not unusual for scientists from the former CombiChem to hang around until the end of the year to garner some nice bonus enticements. DGEN will end up with far fewer scientists than they thought they were getting, I think.

I am surprised BMY didn't keep the place going. It's a nice (if pretty empty) building. At this point, they are one of the few multi-site major pharmas with no presence in San Diego. The whole thing is rather curious.
