I'm not sure term limits is the answer. For years here in Kentucky the state treasurer and secretary of state would just run for each other's job when their term limits expired. Got to be comical. Also, limiting a congressman or congresswoman to, say, four or five 2-year terms max would increase the role and authority of the paid congressional administrative staffers, and I'm certain neither political party wants that.

Re: "I think the whole damn situation is corrupt." Perhaps campaign finance reform, if GWB signs it, will do some good. Perhaps it will serve to distance politicians somewhat from their money sources. Too early to tell.

Re: "The left seems only interested in corruption on the right." Expose corruption wherever it lies, I say. However, having said that, we must acknowledge that what happened with the Enron meltdown has a hell of lot more potential for damage than Jesse Jackson fathering a child out of wedlock.

Let's keep our scandals in perspective.

Now, moving on to the really important stuff: Gimme a prediction on Chelios' boys vs. Lemieux's boys tomorrow. If Joseph's in the nets for Canada, I like the U.S. chances.
