As time goes by new information invalidates the old explanations, and the religiou types fight to keep us trapped within their purview. twas ever thus, religion cannot stand truth or reason since in it nothing springs from truth or reason. Currently the big bang has been invalidated since it seems that there was a recurring big bang. A universe that carries on forever and has been going forever. Remember, it does not have to come from somewhere, it can always have been. A time stream that is infinite at both ends denies the existence of a being that started it all running. There is no reason whey this is not true, it always was and always will be = time is infinite. We find it easy to see time as going on forver, but harder to see it as already going on forever with another forever to go. Now some people need the crutch of belief and once they have it thay can stand and even throw stones at others. that crutch is religion. There are 1000's of different religions, all professing to be the one true faith. I see no essential difference between an African herders simplistic religion of plants, animals and forces of nature and the religion you or a muslim espouse. All are equally false. You may take confort in it to give you hope of ongoing existence, which it does not, but it keeps you in line until you die and leave your estate to the church. At the heart of all religions is the need for money and control of people and I feel they are all alike in that respect, con games for the assets of man as well as the man hisself.
