South American Gold too strapped to pay CFO salary

Mon 25 Feb 2002

William C. O'Donnell, the company's chief financial officer, has been
forced to resign due to the company's financial position. Since Sept. 30,
1998, the company has been unable to pay Mr. O'Donnell the salary owed to
him under his employment agreement. The agreement requires the company to
pay a severance payment equal to his base salary at the time of his
involuntary resignation, being $112,000 (U.S.). The company plans to issue
to Mr. O'Donnell 1,491,280 shares in lieu of the amount owing.
