Ramsey: So I take it that LWIN has spectrum in about 130 markets and so far have launched in around 40?

Well they have spectrum in about 125 different BTA's.

Those BTA's that are in dark red with the hash marks thru them (XLS file) are the ones that are part of the LWIN/NTCH swap! So those in red are those which would be leaving LWIN's stable, while the BTA's in Orange would be added!! (If this deal ever happens is questionable)!

As far as the Markets go! Well, The definition of "Markets" is like trying to define what a "Bunch" is!

dictionary.com

Some markets include multiple BTA's! Others, only one!

And you can add additional surrounding BTA's into a current "Market" and still only have one "Market".

Cricket has done this in the past! Where Hot Springs, AR, Little Rock, AR and Pine Bluff, AR are considered "One Market". Likewise, Clarksville, and Nashville are One Market.

So while Circket has a 40 market plan. That does not mean they will not "Expand the scope of those markets" on both a Covered POP's, and Services offered basis! IMO.
