Windsock, when I say Northwood shortage I mean not enough to satisfy all P4 demand. WHat does Willamette inventory have to to do with Northwood speed grades? They can stil phase out all willamettes at their speeds. It doesn't mean they have to downbin their Nwoods to those speeds as well. You have to come up with a better theory or just say you don't know like Elmer did.

Isn't this the same 478 socket used by many Willamette P4s or are there some changes despite the same pin count?
