You can't win against the ghosts and goblins of Ray's mind. He is chased by spirits, little green men live in his attic. They watch him all of the time. He can't escape his own nightmare.

Better to let him move on and fight his internal and external battles for there will never be reasoning with Ray until or unless he slays his private hallucinations.
