Looks like bd found the possible solution to your first problem. On the second, it shouldn't matter what kind of internet connection you use. PCAnywhere should see them all.

I used PC Anywhere before there was a world wide web.
Just 2400 baud modem to 2400 baud modem. It was fast back then because graphics had not been created.<G>
