I agree. It seems everyone is pretty darned bearish. I'm not sure if the entire marketplace as whole is bearish, or just us stock weenies that hang out on the internet all the time. I'd say the majority was bearish around 1930 also but the bottom didn't come till all the bears had sold.

Thanks for that link. I think there is a lot of misinformation being posted in many articles (on both sides). Don't know if it's done to serve a purpose or they are using data calculated in such a way as to support the article, but I think it is important for both the bulls and the bears (I think both want for their own purpose to find and time that bottom) that we try and stick to as much good (correct? real?) numbers as we can. I know it's hard to do and every side feels that numbers are being manipulated one way or another, but I think we need to stick to at least widely used numbers. I would think federal reserve numbers should fall in that category.

JMHO.

Larry i see no justification for those figures other than possibly the ye old "seasonally adjusted" trick--which i gather let's juggle figures any which way.
I repeat,i strongly suggest that data source is misinformation for mass consumption.
Again, you will believe what you want to believe.

I asked myself how hard is it to get this "householder liability" data.So i ran a search through my best search engine the dow-jones publications library using simply the phrase "householder liability".Search returned nothing.
it alarms me that such data is so privy.
it is very frustrating to me that a i can't copy and paste acrobat. We have been through this before but all solutions i have received have not worked for me.
Google by the way came up with 5 items--all insurance company stuff.
