have no experience with Outlook 2002, but, as a stopgap measure, this URL should give you the means to reply/forward/read your email until you get the difficulty resolved properly.... mail2web.com I use it to check my email from multiple locations.

OT Rich, I don't know Outlook 2000, but I think I can help you with some general theory. You use a POP server for receiving, and a SMTP server for sending. As you are receiving OK the POP server is configured right. Now, SMTP servers are open to anyone, so providers implement "filters" to avoid anyone using them. Usually they look for a "known" address either in the sender ("From") or the receiving ("To") headers of the message. If not, they return an error message similar to the one you are getting. Chances are the "From" part is correct (your email address, which should be recognized OK) when you are sending a message (you say that that works), but is not correct when forwarding. Try forwarding an email to your email address, if that works then the forwarding is OK, but the "From" part is mangled or something... Hope this doesn't confuse you further... Luis.
