Transparent aluminium! That's very interesting!

Actually, aluminum melts at about 660 degrees Celsius and is
flammable at high temperatures. For it to be formed at 1200 degrees obviously requires air/oxygen to be excluded. Anyway, the transparent aluminum lamina is most probably covered over by a super thin tenacious and transparent layer of aluminum oxide, Al2O3.

Too bad they didn't say how strong it is.
