GSM 1x is a major initiative for Qualcomm. Listened to the CC today, and learned it was new in every sense of that (despite the successful trials years ago). Considering the opportunity this is HUGE. Nothing in Western Europe where it will be blocked and the gain to the consumer ignored. After all, in Europe the socialist politicians and bureaucrats and their CABAL companies (a long sad tradition in Europe) rule, not the consumer. But there is a world our there. What will happen outside of Europe will be key. Where this will be fun to watch will be in Asia and the Americas. Best. Chaz
