Fuzziness is right.

What the poll numbers really measure is those who at the time and place of the poll self-describe themselves, within the context of the choices given to them, as Christians. Of that, it's presumably, if it follows proper polling procedures, accurate to within the limits of its polling accuracy.

That's all it means.

Who is truly a Christian will, if they are corrrect about the world, be determined when the last trump sounds, and not before.
