If this stock is such a lock, just turn off the computer and go golfing. Nothing anyone posts here makes a rat's ass of a difference over the long term - right?!

What am I missing?

Engineer: Amen!!

Went back to look at Qualcomm's business model for this year assuming the industry ships 90 million MSM shipments this year. That would lead to some potential for earnings upside by the end of the year.

engineer...In a previous post you talked about GSM1X "being a lot of work". Today IJ made a similar reference. Is GSX1X something new to get excited about or is it just a change in terminology for the IS95 (????) upgrade? Do you think that any GSM carriers either in the USA, China or Europe would take this path and if so what might the time frame be? Thank You.

A lot of this short selling chatter is simple sour grapes at missing out by being on the wrong side of the market during the 90's. I still recall some character on the CFZ practically bragging about having been "very bearish" from 1995 on.

So, in the character of a typical Frenchman who sees someone in a nice car, they dream of the day the guy behind the wheel is out walking comme tout le monde.

And the misanthropic streak of some of these characters really turns me off.

A few of them (the minority) have had interesting things to say and I appreciate their input though.

One thing for sure, is few of the critics of Qualcomm have any idea just how difficult is to create the mixed signal ASICS that are behind this kind of commodity product, and what kind of engineering audacity and hard work it took to bring the idea to practice. Any collection of nose ringers could get together during the bubble and put up a web site like Napster. Do these people out with their broad brush really believe that QCOM is in that class ?
