Thats what I mean. You HWP persons keep concentrating on CPQ's computer business. Its the Server business of CPQ along with the consulting business of CPQ that is the growth area.

If CPQ and HWP combine their computer business they would be able to lower costs by driving down their acquisition (of parts) costs.


$24B for their server business + the opportunity to be saddled with a ton of baggage in other markets. Sounds like a great deal!

Mike C. would do a great job of running both companies.

He's done so well so far that the company's best hope for survival is to be acquired (if their best hope lay in not being acquired, then CPQ would call off the merger). Not exactly a glowing recommendation for his years at the helm.
