agreed. very strong, interesting piece; thanks for posting it. Of course, the phenomenon of an extremist going from one side to the other is hardly unknown, and usually has far more to say about the silliness of the individual in question than the issues (cf., to take just one egregious example, David Horowitz). But I don't think that's what's going on here. I've sent the piece to some diplomatic historian friends who are familiar with Morris' scholarly work, because I was curious to see their reaction. If any of their comments are worth repeating, I'll do so...
