That's true, but we never speak of 'third generation immigrants'. We expect the melting pot to work, though some melt more slowly than others.

Hi SirRealist; Re marginalization...

The Catholic church is so much a part of the US that one of its favorite presidents was of that faith, at least nominally. That's just one of many differences.
