"I certainly have my shortcomings" I don't think that's the issue. Maybe your main indicator has shortcomings. The stated aim of this thread was not to make predictions based on one indicator and then give someone kudos or fire depending on the outcome. It is to examine indicators on market indices. I suspect your Rydex numbers have little predictive value - at least in the short term. But alternately, they may need some additional distinctions. Perhaps there are identifiable times when they work and when they don't. Perhaps also you could discuss other indicators here?
