For what it's worth most of the idiot posters are on an ignore list so M does not see their posts to ban them. There are also some tricks that can be done to avoid bans on moderated threads which I will not divulge here (except to say tricking the system is a TOU violation). You could certainly set up a moderated thread if you desired.
