I did not say that human beings would not be on earth in one billion years. I said I was not concerned about whether they would be or not. Theological and environmental predictors indicate less than one billion. I am not a very good dooms day profit so I offered some latitude. It is possible that I could live to see my 250th birth day given medical advances in the queue. I am not looking forward to it. I see no reason to hope or wish for humans to hang around here for a billion years either. Personally if we can't accomplish the best of human stuff during my generation, I am happy to move on to whatever is next anyway. As a believer, I have my sights set on something better.
