This was my third year at the Expo..and it was by far the smallest, most sparsely attended. Fewer exhibitors and fewer folks attending. It is probably a reflection of the markets, but they did change the basic format of the expo this year...they used to charge a flat fee and allow attendees to choose from a menu of seminars, some of which were pretty good. This year they let the big boys like Pristine set up individual seminars with fairly pricey fees.
I did not attend those, since I have been trading long enough and attended so many of these things, I could teach a few, myself. So it's hard to tell how many showed up for just the seminars, but overall, the expo was a shadow of its former self from 2000. They do have them in different parts of the country. Definitely worth attending the expo floor..if you want to see the new souped up trading hardware and visit with vendors..etc.
I usually play tourist in NYC as well..and spent more time doing that this time, as opposed to looking at stuff I had seen before...
Cheers
