Now thinking about whether to buy the dip for a short term trade

I'm in a similar position. Mostly cash, don't know if I should buy or sell. Usually when I'm in this state and actually put cash to work I get my head handed to me, so I'm just going to sit tight for a while.

NV, I look at COMP etc daily and sentiment indicators. They tell me everything I need to know about short-term future direction. Yest they told me there was still some upside on COMP/NDX but very little on DOW/SPX. Since in many cases you have an overshoot I was waiting till today-tomorrow to short.
