10:24 ET Fox says US special forces in Iraq : Traders citing Bloomberg are telling us that Fox reported that US special forces are on the ground in Iraq. Briefing.com notes that there has been talk for a few days about US special forces in the northern Kurdish "safe haven," but as of now we do not know if today's reports contain anything new.

So far Japan is behaving how I hoped, some serious buying going on there tonight as it appears the country won't be imploding just yet. Unfortunately their government still can't get its act together fully and is going to apparently let this drag on until it DOES near imploding sometime in the future. But for now, it looks like one less thing to worry about in the near term.
