Ted, absolutely exactly right!! I hope we all do our part in bringing that to the attention of our government officials. Pressure is the only thing they understand. They will do nothing if we do not fight for justice.

It sounds a bit pollyanna, but there is a dark side and a lot of manipulation going on.

Last week, on a bad down day, Briefing reported 3-4 rumors that were tanking the Market. Shorts are using multiple rumors so that at least 1-2 will hopefully stick enough to panic sellers.

The one that got me was the helicopter crash in the Phillipines. It was a terrible event, don't get me wrong, but should I sell all my stocks because of it? Will it affect IBM's business?

so how would you deal with all the bullish propaganda

on CNBS and other assorted media since 3/00 that has cost
the individual investor his/her shirt?

even if the Iraq rumour was started by shorts and i'm not sure it was, doesn't compare to the insipid manure from the sell-side we hear everyday

i'm short with conviction here, this market doesn't need a rumour to sell off, it will fall of its own weight

cheers
