The President misspoke, Lazurus is an asshole, and you're a dickhead. It transcribes Bush's speech thusly: "My trip to Asia begins here in Japan for an important reason. It begins here because for half a century now, America and Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern times." Seems to me the president should get his history straight before the White House is forced to rewrite it.
