damn, only 1800F that's not much from 1350 about noonish.

I might have strted the reduction too soon, was under the assumption the pyrometer was wrong, but should have watched the color.
And to boot, I nodded off here in a most uncomfortable chair from about 3 till 4:30 and was still 1650 when I woke up

Since opened the flue a bit more for a blue flame, and JACKED the gas valve to full. Seems these next 500 degrees is going to be a long drawn out ordeal right now.

Can still see all the cones and the color is barely a cxherry red. Getting real toasty around the kiln, broke a sweat a couple times. WIsh I had a really REALLY cold beer right now. Just one though.
