Bruce, you would think people would start to realize what is going on, but in a skittish market, people feel they can't wait to check out the latest rumor and it feeds upon itself. The people controlling the markets are very savvy. They know this all too well. People shoot first and sort out the mess later, I guess. All we can do is pay close attention and decide whether a rumor is serious enough, take action accordingly, and take advantage later when stocks are cheap again.
