Dave, I set up Poormans rating matrix (12 point system) from IBD over 10 years ago. At that time I didn't have any charts, but otherwise learned it was very close to CANSLIM (which I didn't research until about 5 years later). That is where Poormans come from as I used the thread "Poormans Canslim) on Prodigy money board for a number of years. Then I started the newsletter in 1996. Poormans models have averaged 60% annual gain since then.

You asked about accuracy - I'm not quite sure how to answer. I base it on fundamentals first and TA second (on those stocks that have strong growth fundamentals). Currently DFXI and SMD are the 2 top rates stocks in Poormans database which stays around 100 stocks. The next 2 highest rated stocks are RMCI and MTH. The higher rated stocks (6 and above) tend to out perform the lower rated stocks 2:1 when I have run checks in the past.
