It is scary, but often a good idea to buy at point of maximum fear. I hope that the S&P mistaken release is the actual outcome. Sure bond holders probably get hurt some more. But much of that is already discounted into the bond prices. 2 bil gets CPN into 2004 with no liquidity problems. In the long run it is hard to bet against the IPP with the most efficient plants.

I trimmed some drillers, and am now unreasonably into MIR and CPN. Still have a lot of cash to back up puts (sold 200 more contracts on CPN early today).

Enronitis will gradually dissipate. GNP will rise out of recession. Demand for Elec power will go up with it.
