lorne, I should think that the originator of any thread should be given enough respect to be recognized as the moderator, so yes, I believe Addi is in that position. When I decide to no longer communicate with another poster, that does not mean that I consider any posts to be clutter. As a matter of fact, when such posters try to goad me into breaking my word, and get angry enough to respond, I just read their posts, have a chuckle, and hit the "back" button. They are not allowed to cause me any difficulties. They, in most cases, are not worth my time to get re-involved with them, so I leave them in peace, and let them move on to harass others. I don't recall saying anything about another's career. Please indicate where I have done so. That is not something I usually do, because I believe that any on that does honest work in any sort of career, is to be appreciated, and admired. I notice that you indicate an interest, or a career in farming. I have a great deal of respect for farmers, and have been involved in wheat farming in my younger days. Following the wheat harvest in the early 50s was no cup of tea. I was born in 1935. Need any help with that? So as far as being old, I still have a few years on you, not that it makes a whit of difference. There was some comment about "growing up" that caused that little jibe. Yes, Christianity expects me to be honest, and I have no problem doing that. The problem I have is turning the other cheek as I should be doing. I need to work on that, but that is my business. Two very kind, and good, Christians have suggested that I tone down my posts, and I am in the process of doing so. They have influenced my attitude, for which I am grateful. I would love it if everyone would stay on topic. The only reason for my misbegotten rage, was because, at least, two of the posters came on this thread, and showed no interest in learning about Islam, but came only to attack ALL religions. That was hardly on topic, and the tete-a-tete between them and me, was because of what appeared to be their motives in being here. I have many other things to do, so if my presence is so difficult for you to bear, just say so. I will leave, and not feel any sense of loss.
