Why is the "attitude" medieval? Abortion was illegal in many states just 30 years ago. And what does it have to do with the Taliban? No one wants to keep women in burkhas, or forbid them from engaging in business, or deny them individuality. It is one thing to think that human life is sacrosanct, and to be loathe to attack the child in the womb, and another to want to generally undermine the status of women....
