<<dust storm bandit>> During the dust storms there is an increase in some crimes, but often more the sort of crime caused tempers flaring, they think it is related to the constant howling of the wind, irritation of the skin, & an increase in static electricity. More than a few banks, though, were robbed during the worst of the Dust Bowl. Most instead of attributing the bank robberies to the dusty conditions see it correctly as a function of a time of economic depression, a time prior to the current level of Federal law enforcement, & "Because that's where the money is".
