I thought the funny thing was Citigroup's row had "unavailable". Guess they're too politically connected to be bothered with supplying numbers.

most of those politicians, especially the retarded woman, should be cleaning f*cking toilets, but in the land of the blind, not to mention the stoopid, the one eyed assholes are kings

Unfortunately, the clueless congresswoman is my senator, Barbara Boxer. You have no idea how embarrassing that is since I'm registered in her party.

Enron handed out a lot of paychecks to these venal politicos, but when one started in on Skilling about setting up offshore tax shelters he should have reminded the congressman that in spite of those "contributions", Skilling's fiduciary responsibility is to Enron shareholders and not to the congressman. The congress is the one who has a fiduciary responsibility to taxpayers, and they are the ones who pass the laws allowing these offshore tax shelters.

Certainly, the quality of the questioning was very poor. I expect the senators to be morons, but I would have hoped they would have better staff.

I suspect that if all the skeins of yarn are eventually unraveled it will be found that no laws were broken. I find that prospect particularly scary.
