"here was robust growth during most of Reagan's term, and the first couple of years of Bush pere's term, approximately 8 years of it. Then there was a recession that lasted less than a year, and fair growth for the rest of Bush's term, or about 10 years of growth altogether......."

But the numbers pale by comparison to the Clinton Golden Years.....

Right, there was robust growth in Reagan's era, but he ran the economy into the ground. Bush Jr. did the same. There can't be no denying the Clinton did an excellent job managing the economy.

USAToday cites a former CIA official who says the GWB administration is preparing "to arm Kurdish forces in northern Iraq and to train and arm Shiite Muslims in the south." Hey, didn't Bush Sr. say back in the Gulf War he supported "freedom fighters" against Iraq and he did for a VERY brief period. But he dropped them like a hot potato when he pulled out of the Gulf, leaving the Kurds to be massacred and starved and oppressed by Iraqis. Bush SR. must have learned from Reagan, ie like sweeping Afghanistan's problem under the carpets until it literally explodes in your face.
