IMHO, the first of the month uptick will continue because professionals are still paid monthly and there is still a great incentive for saving in the 401k, 403b due to matching from the institution. The payroll may be smaller and the supplemental amount may be decreased but it is still a reliable source of fresh funds for the mutual fund industry.
