Sorry, rich, it is a total falsification of a messy reality. Clinton was worse than Carter at getting cooperation from Congress, even when the Democrats had the House. Hardly any of his initiatives passed. GATT and NAFTA were essentially Republican, and passed by the Republicans. Welfare reform was thrust upon him, as was a quickening of the pace of deficit reduction. Clinton deserves some credit, but not much. Had he gotten his way, the picture would have been different.....

Again? The national debt grew every year under Clinton. It only was lower in his projections of what would happen after he left office.
