lorne, I am ready, and willing, to get back to the intended subject of this thread. When 9/11 first happened, my first thought was that it was a maniacal attack by a fringe element of Islam, and that most Muslims would never consider such action. I still believe that there are a number of Muslims, but they have mainly migrated to the US, or Canada, and have turned their backs on the violent nature of factions like the Al Alqaida, and Taliban. What really amazed me, was that the Quran justifies such violent, sudden, and sneaky, attacks against any person, or government that is not Islamic. How can such attacks be justified when innocent men, women, children, and people of all races, nationalities, religions, and even other Muslims are murdered in cold blood?? That boggles my mind. There were Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and probably some Taoists, and Shintos, along with Christians and Jews, in the twin towers, along with a portion of atheists, pagans, humanists, and wiccans. What kind of message does that send to the world?? how can they expect the rest of the world to accept the Muslim cause when it murders at all, and especially when it murders without a specific reason?? I do not understand.
