Dan, one of the big benefits of moving to a 32-bit OS was pre-emptive multitasking. That was a huge incentive to make the switch.

What huge incentive is there for the mainstream to move to a 64-bit OS? Even AMD acknowledges that nothing needs 64-bit except database apps, which is why they're making a desperate push into high-end servers.
