The Ford facility is a ``green building,'' meaning that it is designed to minimize the building's impact on the environment, including air quality. The building is the first in Orange County and only the third in California to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED TM) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Powering Segway HT Magnetek also developed a very high-density power supply for the battery charging system of the Segway(TM) Human Transporter (HT), the first self- balancing, electric-powered transportation machine. Custom-designed by Magnetek to be self-contained in the machine's chassis, the power supply is part of the Segway HT's advanced battery charging system that converts alternating current from any standard utility wall outlet into the correct magnitude of direct current to charge the Segway HT's NiCd and NiMH batteries. ``Magnetek has been a vital member of our technical development team,'' said J.
