The State Tree of Texas, the pecan, is considered to have the best insight into knowing when the last freezing weather has passed. Not a peep of a leaf until spring is really here.

Yesterday was the most bitterly cold day that I can remember for this late in winter. Actually, the temp was only 40 but the very high wind made it bone-chilling. It was nice to wake up this morning and not hear the wintry blast shrieking thru the attic. The weather guys called it a Canadian front which is always the worst kind, except maybe for the dreaded Arctic front.

I think he will perform better with a little nervous edge about what his mother
might stand up and yell, don't you?

Oh, definitely.

That's just what teenagers love most.

My son once threatened not to play football any more if his mother didn't stop cheering for him and yelling at the coach when he came out of the game for breather.

Too bad it's not Improv -- then he could incorporate your responses right into the play!

Go for it, Penni. I'd like to read about you in the LA Times:

Crazed woman starts riot at USC..

Ammo would like that, too.

Don't expect to see hot weather when you get here. A cool front has come through, and I'll be surprised if we get above 70 this weekend. brrrrr.
