If AMD pulls an Intel/Ingr stunt yes, but they have it in their hands to resolve it quickly:

1. if not guilty: explain by press release what the status is

2. if guilty: settle out of court before the publicity gets worse.

Looked at saifun and they seem to be in non volatile memory products, like eeproms and flash.

All HT patents by AMD I have seen were applied for in 1996, so it would be something else, maybe in the mirror bit stuff of the flash products.
