Do you really think another layoff is in the making? I hope not. That will trash the stock. Already the stock is off today (when the rest of the market is rallying) on the hinted comments made by Carter in the most recent news article. Just when you thought it was safe to go in the water...

Usually the old boys who have tenure and do little are the last to go. The first to go are the young engineers and product amangers from the acquistions. They have little political pull.

Besides isn't John Chambers still working at CSCO? This proves beyond a doubt that they have no intention of cutting the free-riders.
