Montecito has been in design for about 18 months at Intel in Santa Clara - with possibly some HP resources from Fort Collins. It is more than likely that little or NOTHING from the Intel-Compaq-Alpha deal will make its way into Montecito, although some of the Alpha personnel may be involved in completing the Montecito design. Intel has another project under way - an architecture beyond Montecito - where the definition phase will allow Alpha engineers to contribute technology - but my guess is that this will be 3 years out - possibly more.
